Hook, Line, Sinker
The fish, pretty in her own way,
only sparkles in certain lights.
She sees a dancing feather,
moves quickly to it,
and wraps her mouth around the bait.
The boy, reeling in his easy victory,
looks briefly at the fish,
yanks the hook out of her mouth,
and tosses her back into the lake.
