Rather, a quick update for the three of you who care.
A few new things in my life:
1. I am the proud owner of a new vehicular transport. Her name is Jolie*, and after I give her a bath, I will take some pictures (*gasp!*) and show off my new baby.
2. I am now a Lia Sophia advisor. What does this mean, female readers? You can book shows with me and get sparklies for cheap and/or free.
3. I know this will probably offend/irk some of my dear friends who are fans of this insanely popular series, but seriously? If I see the trailer for Twilight one more time, I think I might punch something/someone.
See, I believe people are only allowed so many guilty pleasures before their taste is qualified as just plain bad. My quota for guilty pleasures is full, and I'm not accepting any substitutions at this time.
Plus, I don't think crappy writers should be rewarded with millions of dollars. (And yes, just as it is possible for crappy movies to make lots of money, it is also possible for crappy books to make crappy writers lots of money. It happens all of the time; it's called genre writing...) Just think of how many more marvelous books could come out of *good* writers had they made even a fraction of what J.K. Rowling did. I realize I sound like a snob; I'm only half-sorry. I'm a writer, so I will defend good writing until I die. (Darren, if you're reading this, back me up, buddy.)
4. I tried being a ChaCha guide for about 15 minutes. Turns out most of the questions I had to answer were either about Miley Cyrus, average penis size, or how to get someone to like you. None of these things interest me, and the guide toolbar hogged my bandwith. TaTa, ChaCha.
* French for beautiful; not-so-coincidentally, it is also super-beautiful Angelina's last name.
