Today, I did a good deed. I picked up two pieces of trash and threw them away, making the sidewalk cleaner than I found it, and making the world (or at least Logan) much prettier.
As Kelly and I were making our way to the place where I always buy my favorite iced créme, we happened upon a tiny pink croc. *Insert gasp here.* To make matters worse, it had those annoying little "charm" things that clip into the icky holes on the top of those horrible not-shoes. (*Blech* Someone, who is actually not a genius, is probably becoming rich off that awful idea. I hope they're as good with their money as MC Hammer.)
So, I did what any caring/smart/fashionable person would do: I picked up the croc and threw it away. Then I noticed its ugly partner sitting a few feet from me. I felt momentarily guilty, and decided not to throw away the second croc until I knew that underage fashion offender was not in Coldstone. Upon seeing no children (barefoot or otherwise), I threw the second croc away.
Littering usually makes me sad, but today, it made me happy because I could rid the world of a pair of crocs.
Thanks, irresponsible (and fashionably-challenged) parent. You really made my day. I wish you the best in finding your child a pair of cuter, warmer, REAL shoes.
